Dealing with randomness.

Short essay on luck, randomness and success.

To move forward and succeed, you need to accept and understand the massive role that luck plays in your life.

But that doesn’t mean it’s all random — you must equally believe in making your own luck! Every time something doesn’t work out is an opportunity to remove more things, re-design your process, try and try again.

You must be willing to adapt, adjust, remain flexible, pivot and do what is required. Maybe others had a head start, maybe they were just massively lucky or maybe they had more help. It changes nothing for you and your ultimate path.

They say man plans and God laughs — I say laugh back at the Gods for trying to stop you and stand in your way. That is how unshakeable the belief in yourself must be.

There will be hard times and seemingly endless trials but it’s at those times that your character is sculpted to something powerful and unbreakable — to that personal aura and mindset that only those who went through hell will ever possess.

When you get to that point you will realise that the journey to the goal was more important than the goal itself — you will see that there is no Ithaca without the Odyssey and that all your challenges now make sense.
